Russia’s Avtotor plans to raise car output by 10% in 2018

KALININGRAD, Nov 15 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer Avtotor plans to increase its car production by 10% on the year to 158,000 cars in 2018, Valery Gorbunov, chairman of the board of directors of Avtotor Holding, told reporters on Wednesday.

“We are ready to produce 144,000 cars this year. The figure may reach 145,000. We have already calculated this level for us. Regarding next year, according to calculations of specialists that analyze the market say that the market capacity will grow 10% on the year. But we always develop our plans under a pessimistic option,” he said.

In April, Gorbunov said that Avtotor had planned to produce 120,000–128,000 cars in 2017.
